Target markets for the iPhone and BlackBerry are starting to overlap as well. The iPhone is a media consumer's dream, playing movies and music with ease. But it's not as finely tuned for the corporate user; large companies have resisted letting employees use iPhones on corporate networks, and information-technology.

In addition, BlackBerrys are taking on more iPhone-like trappings all the time. The BlackBerry has long been the staple of corporate users who focused mostly on e-mail and calendar features, but Research In Motion has recently been aiming for high-end consumers who might buy the device for play as much as for work.

The ChangeWave survey results regarding the satisfaction rate among the cell phone owners :-

Apple's iPhone 77% "Very Satisfied"

RIMs BlackBerry 50%

Motorola 36%

Palm 34%

SonyEricsson 29%

A teenager in New Jersey has unlocked Apple's iPhone so it will work on networks other than AT&T's, including those in other countries. In addition to, George Hotz, 17 unlocked the phone and was using it on T-Mobile's network in the United States. Apple launched the eagerly awaited phone exclusively on AT&T's network in June07, and immediately faced criticism for how resistant it was to any modification.

As iPhone works on Global System for Mobile telecommunications (GSM) networks, which more than 80 per cent of the world's wireless carriers use. With a typical GSM phone, the user can open it and swap the subscriber identity module (SIM) card provided by the carrier for one from another operator. The iPhone design, however, prevents easy access to the SIM card, and the device is wired to prevent non-AT&T SIM cards from working.

Hotz posted step-by-step instructions on his blog on how to open the phone and disconnect the wiring so that any SIM card will work, which means it can be used on any GSM network in the world.

Microsoft is one of the top leading software companies in the world. Now, they want to do better than ever. They are interested in Designing software development kit (SDK) for the Apple’s wonderful product iPhone. The iPhone’s touch screen will compete in many ways. Microsoft has a lot of experience in software. They can better the iPhone inregards to its service.

“It’s really important for us to understand what we can bring to the iPhone. To the extent that Mac Office customers have functionality that they need in that environment, we’re actually in the process of trying to understand that now” Tom Gibbons, corporate vice president, Specialized Devices and Applications Group, Microsoft

Microsoft is known as Mac based office applications. In Apple iPhone there will be Microsoft Office from that the user can exchange Microsoft email. The user can send Microsoft office attachment and it is Microsoft responsible it work fine. The other application that Microsoft is wanted in iPhone is voice recognition unit.

In our opinion if Apple decided to get Microsoft software, it will be great for who has iPhone. The iPhone is similar to PC because it has the entire feature that PC has. If Apple agrees to have Microsoft application in their product, it will be advance product. The user will be able to their work on their iPhone, it will be for multipurpose use. As we know that Microsoft is doing well in the market, iPhone should have their services in it. It will be very useful for user to use it whenever they want and from anywhere in the world. Let see what Apple will decide.

Apple iPhone Vs LG's New Prada Phone

Apple iPhone Competitors LG and Samsung Jump on the Touchscreen Bandwagon

http://blog.tmcnet.com/wireless-mobility/apple-iphone-competitors-lg-and-samsung-jump-on-the-touchscreen-bandwa.asp

This article provides the reader with clear vision of understanding as to how Apple's iPhone main competitor LG has recently launched their new phone "Prada"

LG's Prada phone is pretty, stylish and unique. It's lighter and smaller than the iPhone, and though its interface lacks some of the flourish and dazzle of Apple's OS, LG manages to hold their own with stylish menus and slick, modern icons.

However, it lacks many advanced media playback features and an onscreen, QWERTY keyboard. But, it makes good calls, and for invidiuals who doesn't mind paying extra for a lot of style, and the Prada brand, that may be all that matters.

In short LG's Prada phone consist's of all the advance features such as Cool menus and interface ooze style. Very good call quality, solid feature set. Autofocus camera takes nice, usable pictures. The LG's New Prada phone is a perfect competitor for Apple's iPhone.

Competition between Apple and Blackberry

Competition between Apple and Blackberry Battle of the Fruit By Lesley Young

This article is done by Lesley Young. It talks about Apple and Blackberry how they are competing with each other. “In just six months, Apple’s iPhone has surged in to second place in the U.S. smart phone market with 28% share, behind RIM’s 41%.” There is a lot of battle going on in Apple iPhone and Blackberry. 1.2 billion Mobile handset was sold golobally last year and 10% were smart phones. By next year there will be only smart phone. Apple and RIM are now doing research how their consume would like to buy the product and from where they will like to buy the product. RIM has to work on to their product channels. How they can improve the Blackberry, how they can compete with Apple iPhone, and they also have to build the brand name. Apple itself is known as great product.

In six month the apple iPhone is second, in one year they will be top because Apple iPhone is doing well in market. Before it came to market no one was buying it. Now, every one is buying it. They are marketing their product so customer will buy it. For iPhone there is a lot of competition but on the other hand some company for example Google want to join in with iphone for example Google API support iPhone. In future, the iPhone will be famous more than Blackberry.
