This articles provides the reader with information reading the of Apple’s iPhone. As it has been reported that the firm may start selling third-generation iPhones in the second quarter of this year and the company’s profit estimates may need to be increased, according to the Bank of America Corp.

“Channel checks point to a significant production build of a 3G iPhone beginning in the month of June, after an initial small build in May,” analyst Scott Craig wrote in a note to investors. Apple may build more than 3 million current and 3G iPhones in the second quarter, and 8 million in the next quarter.

In addition, California- based Apple would sell 8 million of the smartphones and therefore the profit may rise by 12 cents a share for every million phones it sells in excess of that forecast.
